Looking Through Shirley Temple Movies
Looking Through Shirley Temple Movies
Shirley Temple is one of the most memorable starts in Hollywood who started out as a child actress. Who could ever forget the rise to fame of the cute and dimpled little girl that everyone fell in love with? At the very young age of 3, she has begun to enthral us in the big screen by adorable roles that she will always be remembered for. The adorable curly little girl was forever the image that Shirley Temple had in her viewer’s minds. Shirley Temple stepped into adulthood and shed off the girly dimpled child to enter politics. Shirley Temple grew out of the little kid stage and became a normal adult. Though Shirley temple grew up, he remained to be the much loved child star in many people’s hearts. This phenomenon of Shirley Temple’s undying stardom owes it to her movies.
Values of a family There are lots of Shirley Temple movies that show a focus on desirable values in a family. No matter what the story premise, they all show Temple as a little girl with appreciable values. This quality makes Shirley Temple movies more palatable to the tastes of a bigger number of audience. This appreciable mix of family values tossed into each Shirley Temple film makes her movies a lot closer to people’s hearts.
Incorporating music and dance A lot of Shirley Temple’s films have song and musical numbers in them. Movies with dance and song numbers include Rebecca of the Sunnybrook Farm and The Little Colonel. This seems to support the fact that people are so in love with the idea of song and dance in a movie. The atmosphere of joy in a movie with dance and song numbers have become a trademark for Temple. It was indeed exciting to see a dance or song routine from this adorable little girl on the big screen. It served as a surprise that keeps people watching her movies. Shirley as an orphanIt was also notable that many Shirley Temple roles were that of an orphan. In Poor Little Rich Girl, Temple was discovered by a group of entertainers later who later let the little girl into the comedy act. Captain January was another movie that Temple played as an orphan. There was something moving and sad about her orphan roles that make her even closer to the hearts of her audience. It must make Temple’s characters more intriguing, exciting and sympathy inducing. This made her roles more intriguing to watch.
